Why GI-MAP Test?

Optimizing your digestion is one of the most powerful things you can do for your overall health.

The gut is described as the mother of the body for a reason - it literally feeds all of our organs from the brain to the skin. You can eat the most healthy diet in the world, filled with home-grown organic vegetables and loaded with superfood - but without the integrity of the digestive system, the body simply cannot absorb the vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that are the foundation of our health.

The GI-MAP (Microbial Assay Plus) provides an enormous amount of information on the state of your unique microbial community. Considered to be the most sensitive stool test on the market, the GI-MAP uses DNA analysis to assess health benefits or disease risk from the microorganisms that reside inside YOUR body. It provides actionable test results that will allow us to create a treatment plan tailored to address YOUR unique health needs.

HOW IT WORKS

1. I order the test straight to your home which takes roughly 3-4 business days.

2. You take the safe and easy test from the comfort of your own home, then ship it back to the lab in the states.

3. Once the lab receives your kit, results will be e-mailed to me within 12-14 business days. We will meet either in person, or via zoom to discuss what your results mean. From there, we will create a tailored nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement protocol accordingly.

WHAT DOES THE GI-MAP MEAURE?

The test sheds some light on the state of your gut bacteria and more. Microbes that the GI-MAP measures include:

  • H. pylori + virulence factors

  • Beneficial and opportunistic bacteria

  • Bacterial, viral, and parasitic pathogens

  • Yeasts such as Candida albicans

  • Intestinal health markers including

    • Pancreatic enzyme sufficiency, inflammation, gut immunity, and more

  • Worms

  • Antibiotic resistance genes
